Here is a small collection of photos I took today. I made it a point to take the camera with me (with a 50mm lens) and just shoot things that caught my eye.
The sky is full of contrast today. Maybe we’ll get a good storm out of it…This little scene caught my eye because it reveals my tendency towards procrastination (which is probably a pretty generous way of stating it). A broken axe grinding stone, hauled home from the river years ago, rests broken against our garage. A pile of tree debris, sitting around since my father delivered it to us last summer and surrounded on all sides by tall weeds, waits to be cut, split, and added to the stack of firewood just feet away. An old broken wagon sits awkwardly in the background, waiting to be brought to the dump after being shuffled around the yard for over a decade.I’m not sure what this plant is, but I like the leaves. I could look it up, but I think I prefer just knowing it as a mysterious pretty thing in my life. These flowers are just feet away from the leaves in the previous photo. Again, I don’t feel the need to know what they are called, I just like them.
