Recent Skies

While browsing my phone camera roll recently, I noticed that I’ve been taking some interesting photos of the sky. The featured image above is from Portage Lake on the Fourth of July weekend. Kim looked like a wizard summoning weather from the north (with her phone, as modern wizards do).

The rest of these are just pictures of interesting clouds I noticed while going about my days. I think it says something about me that I’m constantly staring at the clouds in the sky. I’m not sure exactly what it says, but it definitely says something.

This little guy stood out, low to the ground and all alone.

I could practically hear the Simpsons theme song while looking at the clouds above the aptly named Skyway Plaza in Caribou.

These clouds looked like puffy marshmallows above Hight Street in Caribou. Some rain can be seen beyond the horizon.

Jeannie and were on a walk the other day when I came across these sun rays illuminating Caribou. This is the view from the top of a hill on River Road near the solar panel farm.

If you look closely at the skyline, you can see one of Caribou’s biggest erections bathed in heavenly light.

Even though I love the color of Kim’s photo the black & whites bring out a different feeling that I like. Nice work.

Thanks! I agree, there are a lot of photos that look great in color but just evoke a different feeling in black and white.
