a walk in caribou

I went for a walk the other day. Here is a sample of photos I took during my tour around town. I’m thinking of putting together a photo book to sell online with the full collection of photos.

A black and white photo of a large tire embedded into the ground at a dog park.
I rarely ever see anyone at this dog park anymore. Then again, I rarely ever get out either.
A black and white photo of a small cooking grill mounted on a pole in a small park.
This is a small cooking grill at a little park off the side of Sincock Street. Somebody has kindly loaded it with kindling for the next picnicker.
A photo of the Powers Theatre building in downtown Caribou.
This is the iconic Powers Theatre in downtown Caribou. I believe this building is now owned by Bill Flagg, formerly the Director of Public Relations at Cary Medical Center.
Looking up at the Caribou weather vane on top of a local church.
This photo was taken at the little park by Caribou Stream just off of Main Street.
A photo of the infamous burned-out apartment building and the pigeons that have taken up residence.

Some graffiti under the overpass crossing Water Street.
Some graffiti under the overpass crossing Water Street. It’s interesting to see how this wall evolves over the years.
An old wooden grave marker (is it still called a tombstone?)
An old wooden grave marker. Is it still called a tombstone if it’s made of wood?
