Or, if you ask the Right, may also be called “Very Low IQ Individuals over Some Very Fine People.”
The Aroostook Organizers for Change held a protest in Presque Isle, Maine, on Labor Day. It was met mostly with cheers and horn honking in solidarity, as well as a few middle fingers, revved engines, and one guy who couldn’t think of anything better to do than to shout at us and call us “losers” — I think we all know where that caliber of middle-school “slam” comes from.
Here’s a video I put together of the event.
Kim has been working on illustrations for a book she intends to publish and decided one of the main characters of the book, the aptly named Dick-Tater-Tot, would make a fabulous protest sign. I completely agree.

The protest brought out a good crowd of people (considering the holiday) and covered a wide range of issues, from Trans rights–

…to taxes on the super-wealthy…

…to Trump’s problematic relationship with convicted pedophile and sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein (and the files that mysteriously went 404 when they turned out to contain numerous references to Trump).

And of course I love that protests tend to bring out the artist in people, such as this portrait of Donald Trump having a sloppy makeout session with Adolf Hitler while MAGA minions cheer them on.
Excellent.

With our message heard and a few locals pissed off, I would call this a successful protest.
Oh, and they had a bagpipe player there! The guy was pretty talented and set a nice tone for the event.
