We’ve had a couple of old snowblowers (snowthrowers?) that have been rusting away in our yard for many years. Somebody who actually knows something about small engines recently agreed to take them away, so I dragged them out to the driveway for them to pick up.
I can’t help but think these machines are too far gone to be rescued, but what do I know?
Before they get hauled out of our lives for good, I figured I’d snap a few photos of them for posterity, which I now present to you with accompanying punny commentary.
After so many years of disuse, the spark is really gone from these machines.

They’re utterly exhausted.

The flaking paint job leaves some patterns that are quite appealing, though.

Don’t stick your hands in the spinning parts of the machine. Offhand, I would call that good advice.

These machines have been idle for many seasons, allowing time to reflect on their lives. I hope they found it illuminating.

I hope they led good lives and are ready to be discharged.

Ok, those were pretty forced puns. In fact, you could say they really blew.
Anyway, I hope their new owner can bring them back to life for a bit more use.
